Stay Connected
Get ready, Yellow Jackets — Homecoming & Reunion Weekend is coming up on October 23–25, 2025, and it's going to be unforgettable!
Stay updated on news and events, share memories, and connect with old friends by creating a page in your BrightCrowd reunion class book and following the Georgia Tech Alumni Association on social media. Find ways to get involved and alumni event information at gtalumni.org and let us know which Georgia Tech programs and events you're most excited about by filling out the questionnaire. We are planning a weekend around you.
But the best way to connect is in person — that’s why we hope to see you at Homecoming & Reunion Weekend. Join us for reunion parties with your classmates, campus tours, the Reunions Past and Present Palooza Tailgate, the Helluva Block Party on North Avenue, the Georgia Tech vs. Syracuse game, and more. Online registration opens in August. See below for more information about these events and your reunion.
Let's reminisce about our time on campus and make new memories as we see how much Georgia Tech has grown since we were students. Stay tuned for more details.
Progress Towards Our Goal
Hey Class of 2015, we're counting on you! Each class has an opportunity to create a footprint that advances the mission of Georgia Tech and support Transforming Tomorrow: The Campaign for Georgia Tech. This reunion gives us an opportunity to work together to create innovative solutions for decades to come.
Together, we can help build a foundation to support our students, advance our research and innovation, enhance our campus and our community, and expand our impact at home and around the world.
This is our year. This is our Tech. As a class, we can support students who will transform tomorrow. Have you made your gift or pledge?

Dear Class of 2015,
This year, our class is making history. For the first time ever, Tech is hosting a 10th reunion for younger alumni — no more waiting until our 25th or 40th milestones to celebrate!
Can you believe we graduated 10 years ago?! We all conquered Freshman Hill, grabbed a meal at Woody’s, Brittain, or North Ave, and pulled all-nighters at our favorite study spots on campus. And, of course, we lost our voices from cheering on our beloved Yellow Jackets. Since “getting out,” some of us stayed in Atlanta, while others moved elsewhere in the country — or even the world. No matter where life has taken you, this is the perfect chance to come back to where it all began — our careers, friendships, and even families.
This 10th reunion celebration is just for us, so let’s make it our own! Homecoming & Reunion Weekend will be packed with fun events, opportunities to give back, and plenty of Georgia Tech spirit. It’s our time to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished since our days on campus.
Mark your calendars now and start making plans to join us in Fall 2025! Book your travel, pack your best White and Gold, and get ready to relive your favorite memories and make new ones. We can’t wait to see you on the Flats, and we encourage you to bring along fellow classmates. Stay tuned for more details and registration info as we get closer to the event. In the meantime, reach out with any questions—we’re here to help!
We hope to see everyone at our 10th reunion during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on October 23–25, 2025!
Sincerely,
Erin Lightfoot Robinson
Chair, 10th Reunion Committee

MINI 500
The Mini 500 is an annual eight lap tricycle race that takes place around Peters Parking Deck on the Friday afternoon before the Homecoming football game. It is one of Georgia Tech's most unique traditions put on by Ramblin' Reck Club since 1969. Teams consist of seven members: four racers and three pit crew who are responsible for maintenance and tire rotations. Each team is required to rotate their front tire three times throughout the course of the race, typically following the second, fourth, and sixth laps. All teams attempt to complete all eight laps as quickly as possible without destroying their tricycles. This event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Peters Parking Deck on Fowler Street NW.
AFTER PARTY HOSTED BY THE GEORGIA TECH BLACK ALUMNI ORGANIZATION
After Buzz Bash, keep the party going with the GTBAO! This party is included in your ticket to Buzz Bash. Stick around for late night bites, a DJ, and more fun with fellow alumni. All are welcome!
Saturday, October 25
CAKE RACE
The Freshman Cake Race is a half-mile race held before sunrise on the morning of the Homecoming game every year. This unique long-standing tradition is open to all first year Georgia Tech students. Each first year receives a cupcake at the end of the race. The male and female winners of the race receive a cake and are brought to the field during halftime of the Homecoming game where they are congratulated by the Ramblin' Royalty. This race began in 1911, when the first Cake Race was held as an open cross-country run at Georgia Tech. Two years later, some of the faculty members' wives started baking cakes for the winners, thus creating the name Cake Race. While the race's original purpose was to scout men for the track team, today's participants are encouraged to run, jog, or walk.
RAMBLIN' WRECK PARADE
The Ramblin' Wreck Parade began in 1929 as the Old Ford Race, which occured for two years as a race from Atlanta to Athens. However, in 1932, the administration deemed the event to be unsafe. This led to the adjustment to the Ramblin' Wreck Parade to preserve the tradition.
The Wreck Parade is held on the Saturday morning of Homecoming and is the last event before the Homecoming football game. The original Wreck Parade consisted of two vehicle categories: fixed bodies and classic cars. Since 1932, the Wreck Parade has been an annual tradition (with the exception of 1942 and 1943 due to the gas shortages during World War II). In 1944, the parade was reintroduced with a third category — contraptions, which are built an powered by students.
HELLUVA BLOCK PARTY
The pregame excitement of Georgia Tech Football moves to one of our campus', and the city of Atlanta's, most visible and vibrant locations. Helluva Block Party will transform three blocks of North Avenue — beginning at Techwood Drive/Centennial Olympic Park Drive and running to Parkway/Luckie Street — into a pregame street party that builds the energy of Tech Football right up until toe meets leather at the Georgia Tech vs. Syracuse game at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field.
